FAQ
- When is there a new puzzle?
- Every day at midnight, your local time. Everyone gets the same five prompts.
- How does scoring work?
- Every letter you type in an accepted answer uses up one of that key's two uses. A key with one use left is cracked (5 pts); a key with none is broken (10 pts). Clear all five prompts without skipping for +15 pts.
- Why was my answer rejected?
- Answers are checked against a list for each prompt. Plurals and a leading "the" are fine, and near misses get a "did you mean" suggestion. If I'm missing something obvious, let me know.
- Can I skip?
- As often as you like. Skipping moves you to the next prompt; you only lose the +15 no-skip bonus.
- What's the archive?
- Every past daily puzzle, to replay any time. It's a one-time unlock that helps pay for the servers and domain.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Your progress is saved in this browser only.

No accounts, ads or tracking. I don't use analytics or tracking cookies, and I don't sell or share data.
Stored on your device. Your current daily run, your sound setting, a random ID for this browser and, if you buy it, your archive unlock are kept in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Daily results. When you finish the daily puzzle, your answers are sent with that random ID so everyone's score chart and most common answers can be shown. Only totals are stored (how many players got each score or gave each answer), plus a note that the ID has played that day, so it counts once. No name, email or IP address is stored, and I can't link results to you.
Hosting. Like any website, my host processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect against abuse. I don't keep logs of it.
Payments. Purchases (not live yet) will be handled by a payment provider acting as the seller. They process your payment details and email; I only receive confirmation that the unlock was bought.
Emails. If you email me, I keep your address and message only to reply. Ask and I'll delete them.
Your rights. Under GDPR you can ask what I hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Apart from emails you send me, I don't hold anything that identifies you; daily results are anonymous totals. If you think I've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to IMY, the Swedish data protection authority.
